As a ‘Sustainable Mobility Solutions Provider’, Kia’s aim is to offer sustainable mobility solutions for consumers, communities, and the global society.
Kia revealed its strategy to reach carbon neutrality by 2045, based on three main pillars – Sustainable Mobility, Sustainable Planet, and Sustainable Energy.
From supply, logistics, vehicle manufacture and use to waste disposal, the pillars will lead Kia’s efforts to cut carbon emissions. Kia wants to reduce carbon emissions by 97% by 2045. The corporation will achieve carbon neutrality by fully offsetting its remaining emissions.
Carbon Neutrality: equilibrium between CO2 emitted and CO2 removed from the atmosphere.
“For us, it’s not just about setting and achieving goals. “It is about inspiring others to join the movement to help humanity and the environment,” said Kia President and CEO Hosung Song. To become a sustainable mobility solutions provider, we pledge to be carbon neutral by 2045.
